Friends, Parents, and Brothers of Georgia DeMolay:
I hope this May edition of the SMC Corner finds you all in good health
and great fortune. After an exciting and competitive Spring Jamboree, the
sense of brotherhood and comradeship is high as ever. Congratulations to
Peachtree City Chapter for not only competing as fierce opponents but
displaying the comradeship that all DeMolays strive for, and winning, very
deservingly, the coveted Sportsmanship trophy.
Last weekend, I had the honor of attending the first ever Installation
of Officers at Currahee Pilot Chapter in Toccoa Georgia. The members of
Peachtree City Chapter shined again as they provided the Installing team for
this new DeMolay Club. In case you haven't heard, Georgia DeMolay is
currently opening up four new chapters, how exciting is that?
As many of you know, the membership program 88 in 08 is trucking right
along. Make sure to continue to report all new members with the Form 10s
and also the raffle reporting form.
I can't wait to see you all at Conclave 2008, which is just over two
months away. This year it is being held at my college, the University of
West Georgia in Carrollton. For the first 65 attendees to check-in to
Conclave Thursday morning, we have secured free tickets to Six Flags Over
Georgia! Make sure to register early to secure your spot in Georgia
DeMolay's Conclave 2008!
Carpe Diem,
Richard W. Eells, II
