Canned Food Drive
- Who: All Georgia Chapters
- What: Collecting Canned Goods
- When: by December 6, 2003
- Where: collection at Holiday Formal on Tybee Island
- Why: to help those less fortunate during the holiday season
Aesop once said, "No act of kindness, no matter how small, is ever wasted." I have
always believed in giving back to the community and helping those who are less fortunate
than we are. That is why the Sweethearts and I will be sponsoring a canned food drive.
How can you, the DeMolays, help? You have already done numerous charity community services
through your chapters and I applaud you, but we need your help one more time. The Sweethearts
and I want you to bring in as many canned foods as possible!
When can you do this? You can bring in your contributions to the Holiday Formal down
at Tybee Island. There will be boxes for you and your chapter to place your canned foods
in, but be careful! You need to place them in the correct box, the one labeled for your
chapter. Otherwise, the cans will be counted for another chapter, and your chapter will
not receive the big prize. That is right! There is a prize at the end of the night for
the chapter who brings in the most canned foods!
Please bring in your canned foods to help those who are not able to afford a decent meal!
They will always have you in their hearts and prayers as well as I. Thank you so very much
for your time and commitment! Just remember that your actions speak louder than your words!

Six hundred cans were brought in for MUST Ministries last year by Samuel S. Lawrence Chapter.
