NEWSetteDecember 2001From the State Parents' Club Coordinator:Hello Everyone, Well, October has been an exciting month around our house. Joey and Sarah's wedding was very beautiful! The many family and friends in attendance made the day even more special. The newlyweds are in Jacksonville where they will live and make their new home together. Just a reminder about what everyone is to bring for refreshments for the Holiday Formal. Each group is asked to bring some of the following items: finger foods, chips and dips, cakes and cookies, candies and fruit and dips. Drinks have been taken care of. Also, each group should be deciding how you want to decorate a table. Red and green table covers will be provided, unless your group has a cover they wish to use instead. We will be able to get into the Scottish Rite Center in Macon around 5:30pm and we will need help getting everything decorated. Directions to the Center are on the Georgia DeMolay website. Please stay after the event is over to help clean up, if you are unable to come early to help decorate. I finally received a bill for our consignment order from the DeMolay and More Store at Conclave. We sold $533.98, which is excellent for the period of time the store was open. Thank you for everyone who came by and purchased items from our store. Unfortunately, we will not have a consignment at the Holiday Formal as previously announced. I apologize to any of you who have made plans to purchase holiday gifts from the "Trunk Store" but very serious thought has gone into the decision not to have a store at the Holiday Formal. The next opportunity to purchase from the "Trunk Store" should be at the Tournament of Champions, which will be held from February 1-3, 2002. As we remember those who are grieving the loss of loved ones in recent day, please remember Dad Dennis Honea, with the passing of his father. The fundraising committee for the tee shirt project approved at Conclave should plan to meet for a short period of time at the Holiday Formal. This meeting is very important! If there is anything I can do for any of you at any time, please feel free to give me a call. I look forward to seeing many of you at the Holiday Formal in Macon on December 1. Maybe I will soon. Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to all. Mom Janie Daniel Mountain Park Chapter:Hello to everyone, We have just completed our Christmas Child Project, and it was a success. We had over 17 shoe boxes filled with clothes, toys, and fun stuff for underprivileged children. We are so blessed to be here where we are today. It was so nice to see Joey and Sarah married on October 27. It was good to see Dad Bill and Linda Carver again. We are preparing for the Holiday Formal as well as announcing a new Master Councilor, Chris Hoff. Our installation will be in January some time. I hope everyone has a safe and full Thanksgiving. God Bless America. Mom Linetta Foster Middle Georgia Chapter:Hello All! Middle Georgia Chapter was busy November 10. We cooked for local Fire and Police. This was our way to show appreciation for the work these men and women do for all of us. State Master Councilor Justin Nobles came to be with us, but had not gotten there in time for the press.
