Jacob Somers Installed as Samuel S. Lawrence Chapter Master Councilor
MARIETTA, GA - On Saturday, August 4, Samuel S. Lawrence Chapter held its summer installation of officers at the Samuel S. Lawrence Masonic Lodge. The following members were installed as elected officers: Master Councilor Jacob Somers, Senior Councilor Chris Somers, and Junior Councilor Christian Wellman. Jacob Somers gave an inspirational speech during which he challenged the Chapter to reach the Gold Level in the Chapter of Excellence Program this year, win the Chapter Proficiency contest at TOC, and reminded them of the history of leadership coming from Samuel Lawrence Chapter. The Installing Team included Past Master Councilors of Samuel Lawrence Chapter: Geoff Bard, Justin Nobles, Peter Bard, David Wellman, Adam Fowler, and Lyle Chadwick. The Representative DeMolay ceremony was also perform for the chapter's newest
RD, Chris Somers. The ceremony was performed by Peter Bard and David Wellman. Other awards presented included merit bars to Chris Somers and Hunter Arceneaux, Medals of Appreciation to Moms Donna Nobles and Nancy Smith, and a Past Master Councilor's pin to Jean-Luc Fontenot. Following the ceremonies, there was a pool party held at the Chastain Lakes subdivision pool.
