Members, Advisors, Sweethearts Attend Leaders' Academy
COVINGTON, GA - The Georgia Leader’s Academy was back again on the weekend of November
16-18. The annual event rang in with another spectacular line up of
events, starting on Friday evening. The crew of DeMolays,
Advisors, and even a few Sweethearts were in for a long but fun haul.
Friday night they were split into three teams to battle the weekend out
for the much wanted "Noogie" points. Saturday Morning came early with a
news report from team Snipers. Moving quick into the afternoon, there
was moral team juggling by team Super Brooms. Brother Richard Eells,
State Master Councilor, spoke for a few minutes on his applications of
the lessons learned from GLA, finishing up by stating, "GLA was one of
the most valuable events I have ever attended as a member." Later there
was an intense game of putt-putt lead by team Tetris. Inevitably the
weekend came to an end, but what a finish! Sunday morning there was
more news, this time from team Super Brooms, then the points were tallied
and Snipers came out on top. Dad "Mad Dog" Bohn finished Sunday morning
and concluded another successful Georgia Leaders Academy.
