GA DeMolay Members Compete In Ceremonial Proficiency

Hunt Installed as Illustrious Knight Commander


    ATLANTA, GA - On February 2, Georgia DeMolay returned to the Atlanta Masonic Center to hold its annual Ritual Competition. The event was well-attended and filled with the spirit of brotherly competition. During the course of competition, two candidates from Peachtree City received the degrees of DeMolay and were welcomed as new members. The Tournament of Champions is also the time for the State Priory's annual meeting and election of officers. Paul Hunt of Mountain Park Chapter was elected and installed as the Illustrious Knight Commander. Squire Commander went to Sir Knight Chris Benedetti of Peachtree City Chapter. The Ritualist Examination Board was also busy with many members trying their hand at ritualistic accuracy and points being awarded toward certification to Brothers Jason Arnold and Alex Jinks, both of Mountain Park Chapter.

    The winners of the competitive events were as follows:

    Chapter Proficiency: Mountain Park Chapter
    DeMolay Degree 1st and 3rd Sections: Samuel S. Lawrence/Peachtree City Chapter
    DeMolay Degree 4th Section: Samuel S. Lawrence Chapter
    Rookie of the Year: Chris Schulenberg, Columbus Chapter
    Nine O'Clock Interpolation: Alex Jinks/Zach Ford, Mountain Park Chapter
    Nine O'Clock Interpolation: Richard Eells/Todd Stovall, Mountain Park Chapter (Championship Level)
    Ceremony of Light: Hunter Sullivan, Peachtree City Chapter
    Ceremony of Light: Geoff Bard, Samuel S. Lawrence Chapter (Championship Level)
    Flower Talk: Geoff Bard, Samuel S. Lawrence Chapter (Championship Level)
    All Seven Preceptors, Initiatory Degree: Peter Bard, Samuel S. Lawrence Chapter (Championship Level)
    First Preceptor, Initiatory Degree: Greg Nichols, Peachtree City Chapter
    Second Preceptor, Initiatory Degree: Michael Nichols, Peachtree City Chapter
    Fourth Preceptor, Initiatory Degree: Nicholas Bohn, Mountain Park Chapter

Mountain Park Chapter wins Chapter Proficiency
for an unprecedented fourth time in a row.


Chris Schulenberg takes home the prestigious Rookie of the Year award.
