GA Ritualists Compete at Old South Tournament
NEW ORLEANS, LA - Four DeMolays from two chapters traveled to New Orleans on the weekend of March 14-16
to participate in the Old South Ritual Tournament. Making the trip were State Senior Deacon Peter Bard, David
Wellman, and Hunter Arceneaux from Samuel S. Lawrence Chapter. Nicholas Bohn from Mountain Park Chapter also
made the trip. The tournament opened Saturday Morning with a parade of Chapter banners. The Samuel S. Lawrence
Chapter banner was carried by Hunter Arceneaux. The competition began immediately following the opening.
Georgia's Ritualists competed in four events. Peter Bard brought home first place finishes in Senior Deacon,
Initiatory Degree and the Championship Level of the Magnificent Seven (all seven preceptors). David Wellman
finished first in Master Inquisitor, DeMolay Degree. While in New Orleans, the delegation enjoyed trips to the
famous French Quarter, which included dining at Bubba Gump's restaurant and having beignets and coffee at Cafe
du Monde. The guys also got to meet and make friends with DeMolays from Maryland, Tennessee, New Jersey, and Florida.
