Conclave 2001 PhotosOpening SessionConclave 2001 was a wonderful success and fun for all who participated. State Master Councilor, Derrick Honea, had a great year and laid the groundwork for Conclave. Further, it was Executive Officer Marc Bohn's first Conclave to manage. As a testament to the planning skills of both, along with the able assistance of many others, everything went very smoothly. 
Derrick Honea opens the 2001 Conclave and predicts that everyone was going to have "fun", which had become a trademark word of his year as State Master Councilor.

Georgia was honored to have the International Master Councilor, Jason Polonsky of Massachusetts as a special guest. Bro. Polonsky made himself right at home in the deep south, despite the heat, and even picked up some of the local lingo, mastering the proper usage and pronunciation of "yaw'll".
The auditorium was filled with DeMolays, advisors, parents, Rainbows, and guests from all over the state of Georgia. Conclave affords a wonderful opportunity for people from all points of the compass to come together for fun and fellowship.
Can Man arrives to begin building up spirit and enthusiasm. Adam Roof, when serving as State Master Councilor in 1999/2000, began the tradition of awarding a Spirit Can to the Chapter that showed the most enthusiasm at Conclave. As occurred last year, Mountain Park showed the most enthusiasm and returned to Stone Mountain with the Spirit Can.
Speaking of traditions, you have to be careful not to leave any personal property lying about. It may wind up in the hands of the Executive Officer and you may have to sing I'm A Little Teapot, as Samuel S. Lawrence members are doing above, to get it back.
