Conclave 2001 Photos
Final Session - Closing
On Sunday, there was still more important business to attend to
at Conclave 2001. Despite a late night on Saturday, the guys get up early to
make the final session.

It
takes some dramatic techniques to encourage teenage guys to remember to return
home with all their belongings. One method is to turn over items left behind to
the Executive Officer, who then has the unfortunate forgetful owners to sing I'm
A Little Teapot or other song to get their stuff back. Francesca Riley, Dad Riley
and Lamar Smith sing a trio to regain their personal property.

Just
about everybody "loses" something. Here the entire group of new state
officers give a fabulous rendition of I'm A Little Teapot. Could it be
that all these folks are really that forgetful, or is there a little playfulness
going on here? Read on .....

Some
DeMolays see this tradition as an opportunity to be mischievous and sometimes
"borrow" a fellow member's stuff to see them be made to sing.
Unfortunately, Brian Eidson, is caught red handed "borrowing" the
SMC's collar. He can only get off the hook by singing, I'm A Barbie Girl,
which, with the help of Jon Challen's electronic altering of his voice to a high
falsetto on the PA
system, gets everyone rolling in the floor with laughter!

Dad
Bohn installs Dad Mike Riley, Middle Georgia Chapter, as the new State Chapter
Dad.

Dad
Riley is very popular with the young men of Georgia DeMolay and is the father of
the State Senior Councilor, Mike. His appointment is welcomed by the members.

Newly
installed State Master Councilor, Justin Nobles, unveils his program for the
ensuing year. He is well prepared and tells the members that his focus will be
on ritual development in the Chapters. He challenges the DeMolays to become more
proficient in the ritual work.

Perry
and Julius show Justin's slogan for his administration, Building Upon A
Foundation.

State
Parents' Club Coordinator, Mom Lorna Bush, presents Mom
Griggers, President of Clayton Chapter Parents' Club, with the awards for Parents' Club of the Year and
best Chapter Scrapbook.

Mom
Griggers presents Derrick with a gavel plaque on behalf of the Clayton Chapter
Parents' Club.

Lindsey
Honea presents her brother Derrick a special quilt commemorating the highlights of his
year.

Conclave
ends with a group picture of the new State DeMolay Officers, State Executive
Officer and State Sweetheart ready to embark
upon their new adventure. This team is energetic, optimistic and guided by a
natural leader in Justin Nobles. DeMolay is thriving in Georgia!
