Georgia is famous nationally for their conclaves and folks from
International like to visit.
Dad Jon Challen welcomes Christopher Elko, the International
Master Councilor, who is from New Jersey and spent the entire weekend with his
Georgia brothers. By the end of the conference he had learned to say "Yaw'll
come to see us now, ya hear?"
Chris Elko presents an award to Augusta Chapter from DeMolay International for an outstanding newsletter.
Nominations are made for next year's three councilors. Perry
Bennett nominates Mike Riley for State Master Councilor, Michael Griggers
nominates Chris Eells for State Senior Councilor and James O'Neal nominates
Jackie Moody for State Junior Councilor.
State Master Councilor nominee Mike Riley gives an excellent
speech in which he stresses that DeMolays commit the initiation and public
ceremonies to memory.
State Senior Councilor nominee Chris Eells pledges his support
for Mike and outlines some of his ideas for helping Georgia DeMolay succeed.
State Junior Councilor nominee Jackie Moody outlines his plans
for the upcoming year.
The guys are pretty spellbound, don't you think? Lot of
interesting things were happening and it kept everyone riveted to their seats.
