Conclave 2006 PhotosConclave is where Georgia DeMolay chooses its leaders for the upcoming year.
SMC Michael Griggers sets the stage for everyone to ask the three candidates for office questions. Geoff Bard was the candidate for State Master Councilor, Richard Eells was the candidate for State Senior Councilor and Todd Stovall was the candidate for State Junior Councilor.
Dad Justin Nobles asks the group a question. This process of asking questions give the members insight into the leadership styles of the candidates and gives the candidates a greater awareness of the issues that are important to the membership.
Jessica Nobles, Samuel S. Lawrence's Sweetheart, offers herself for the office of State Sweetheart. All the guys get to ask her questions designed to measure how well she will do in the role.
Jessica did a good job fielding the tough questions from the DeMolays and was selected by them to serve at the 2006/2007 State Sweetheart for the Associated DeMolay Chapters of Georgia.

In a rare photo that illustrates the support of Masons for DeMolay, State Master Councilor Michael Griggers poses with five Grand Masters: Gary D. Lemmons - GM 2001, Joseph P. Suttles - GM 1995, F. Ray Jackson, GM 2006, Clyde E. Griffin - GM 1996, and Bobby B. Simmons - GM 2003.
Grand Master Ray Jackson was not going to be able to make the Grand Banquet, where the Grand Master traditionally speaks to the members, so he makes an appearance at the Honor's Presentation to encourage the young men of DeMolay.
The auditorium was full for the Honor's Presentations. It is very important to DeMolay to show a strong appreciation for those individuals who have gone beyond the call of duty on behalf of humanity and DeMolay.
Dad Jim Bard is honored by being made a Deputy Member of the International Supreme Council of DeMolay International. Georgia now has three Deputy Members: Dads Larry Griggers, Dana Schwarz and Jim Bard and three Active Members: Dads Andy Lovas, William Carver and Marc Bohn.
Conclave 2006 marked the end of an era. Two Past State Master Councilor's, Julius Moody and Chris Eells received their majority service. Chris had also achieved the distinction of rising to the ranks of International Master Councilor, the only Georgian ever to achieve that high honor. Both of these young men had made an indelible impression upon Georgia DeMolay and were embarking on even greater adventures as adults.
