Holiday Formal 2002 Photos

Fast dances are fun, but slow dances are where you get to know folks.

Trey & Michelle

Trey D'Anna and Michelle Gibson dance the night away.

Drew and this lovely young lady discuss the Analyticity of Solutions of Implicit Function Problems with Analytic Data. Drew's previous "airhead" partner from the SMC Reception (hold mouse over photo to see "her") has magically converted into a real looker with brains!

Moms Williams and Cartledge

"Wish we could dance," Moms Williams and Cartledge slave away in the kitchen. Behind every successful DeMolay event is the hard work of the Parents Club and adult volunteers who derive great satisfaction from supporting the youth organization.

Mom Griggers

"Having a lofty title doesn't get you out of doing any work," laments State Parents Club Director Debbie Griggers. Mom Griggers' dedication was showing as she hobbled about on a broken foot.

Kathleen Hamrick

Kathleen Hamrick, Past Grand Worthy Advisor of Rainbow for Girls, attended the Holiday Formal with her steady beau.

Russell Cartledge looks very distinguished in his Tuxedo. It's really impressive to see all these young men dressed in their finest and looking so clean cut! It verifies our faith in the youth of America.

Geoff and Laura

Geoff: "Hey honey, I sure wish you were here. I don't have anyone to dance with!"
Laura: "No baby, I am not having a good time with you not here!"
Geoff Bard and Laura Klenke interrupt their dance to take care of urgent business.

Laura & Chris

Preview of things to come. Both Laura and Chris Eells are in the # 2 spot in the Rainbow and DeMolay Grand Line. They are making great plans for Holiday Formal 2003.

"Get up sleepy heads! Breakfast is ready." After Dad Griggers sneaked in the boys sleeping area and made sure everyone was decent, Mom Klenke leads about 20 very loud Rainbow Girls on a wake-up raid on the sleepy group of DeMolay boys spending the night in the Scottish Rite Building in Savannah where Savannah Rainbow Assembly # 1 was hosting a lock-in for those that attended the Holiday Formal.

Jackie Moody's "safe" hiding place was quickly discovered by the raiding Rainbows. Assisted by Mom Moody, Laura tries to uncover his face for the picture, but to no avail. Jackie was firmly secure in his sleeping bag.

Holiday Formal 2002 was a festive event that built memories and funny stories that will last for years. Everyone returned home full of holiday cheer.
