It's called the Joust, but there are no lances or horses involved. There are,
however, plenty of other sporting activites like Basketball, Badminton, Running
Events, and even Car Racing.

A heated match of half-court basketball ensues between some of the Sir Knights
and their Squires. Even an Advisor gets in on the fun.

On the other side of the court, another match occurs. This time, it's
the game of HORSE for those that didn't want a match that was quite as heated.

The Knights, Squires, and an Advisor look on as Sir Knight Brian Eidson
attempts his patented bounce-shot. He shoots the ball by bouncing it firmly on the
ground so that it will bounce into the basket. Sir Brian never made the shot, but Knight
Commander Perry tried it, and in the graceful style of our Commander, he sunk the
difficult shot.

After the time at the basketball court, the Knights headed over to the
track. Everyone was shocked at the outcome of the race. It appears that our
fearless Knight Commander, Perry Bennett, won handily over Sir Knight Adam Perry and
Squire Adam Fowler, two of the fastest runners around. There must have been some
foul play involved....

Following the track races, the Knights went over to the badminton court.
Dad Rusty Newport sets up to lob the birdie over the net for a point.

Squire Billy McDaniel hits a flawless serve as Knight Commander Perry directs
the team's next move.

Despite Squire Billy's flawless serving and Knight Commander Perry's expert
direction, their team was unable to emerge victorious. As captain of the team, Perry was
forced to wear the pink "Shuttlecock of Shame" on his hat.

After the badminton tournament, the Knights headed back to the lodge
for some car racing. A leadership and teamwork-building activity, the Knights divided
into two teams and were given a piece of styrofoam, a propeller, and some other common
household objects and told to create a car out of them.

Team Captains Perry Bennett and Brian Eidson ready their cars for the race.

And they're off! The car built by Perry's team won the race. However, the
car was cited for unsportsmanlike conduct since it swerved and knocked the other car off
course. All in all, the teams decided that both cars were equally fast and called
the race a draw.
