Georgia DeMolay kicked off its first-ever New Year's Eve Bash and Lock-in this year at the Macon Scottish Rite. This event was jam-packed with events to keep everyone excited and entertained. After arriving and eating a meal provided by the State Parents Club, the State Association came to order and performed the Degrees of membership, welcoming a new member into the ranks.

Continuing the Senate program started during Brother Geoff Bard's term as State Master Councilor, Georgia DeMolay hosted the Royal Summit. Each chapter present was allowed two votes on all topics discussed. Some of the issues discussed were Tournament of Champions scheduling, Spring Jam events, and the new membership program for 2008.

We are not entirely sure how this picture was taken; perhaps the stunning smiles of these girls coaxed the camera into levitating and taking the photo for them.

At all lock-ins, the board games always provide excellent entertainment for the attendees.

Some of the others, however, enjoy a more technological take on games.

...or perchance the ever-popular card games.

The larger Masonic family allows for families to get involved in different organizations. Here, sisters Katy (Grand Worthy Associate Advisor for Georgia Rainbow) and Lisa (Samuel S. Lawrence Chapter Sweetheart) take a second to flash their astonishing smiles.

DeMolay builds leaders and friends for life. As the clock reached midnight, these friends for life gathered together to welcome the New Year.

State Sweetheart Khrystle Rader never misses an opportunity to flash a smile and steal a hug. We don't think State Marshal Donny Robertson minds to much either.

As the clock ticked ever closer to sunrise, we understand DeMolays found anywhere to grab a quick nap before the smell of breakfast awoke them from their slumber.

As promised, the lock-in concluded with giving away a laptop and two iPods. Congratulations to Georgia DeMolay for reaching positive growth. As the lock-in finished, State Senior Councilor Todd Stovall was quoted saying, "The lock-in was a great success! I can't wait until next year when Georgia DeMolay will host the second annual New Year's Eve Bash and Lock-In!"
