State Master Councilor Justin Nobles was honored with a
reception at Yaarab Shrine Temple in Atlanta, Georgia. Samuel S. Lawrence
Chapter did an excellent job preparing for the event with good food, music and
bright decorations.

Justin welcomes guests as they arrive to show their support for
him and the other new State Officers.
Everyone was dressed in their finest to show the importance of the event.

Jon Challen begins the introduction of the State Officers.
Senior Stewart Robert Warr is the first to be introduced.

Last, but not least, to be formally introduced to the assembled
audience was the guest of honor, Justin Nobles, State Master Councilor of
Georgia DeMolay.

Yaarab Temple provided a beautiful setting for the many guests
that had assembled for the reception.

Justin departed from his previously prepared remarks and gave a
moving tribute to the victims of the terrorist attack on New York and Washington
on September 11, 2001. He told the audience that he had considered canceling the
reception, but decided instead to dedicate the reception to the victims and use
the opportunity to collect funds for the Red Cross.

As State Marshal Perry Bennett held the flag, the frequently
repeated pledge took on a new meaning in the hearts of those assembled. Many of
the DeMolay members are of military age and the weight of preserving the future
for our nation will rest upon their shoulders and the shoulders of many other
American sons across this country.

Georgia Executive Officer, Marc Bohn, commends Justin for
remembering the victims of the attack on America and endorses the fund raising
effort. He holds up a specially marked container in which to make donations.

Justin calls up a representative from each of the Chapters and
the State Officers to light a special candle for the victims. He lights the last
candle himself. It is a thoughtful and symbolic act that moves everyone present.
It is at times like this that the true meaning of what it means to be an
American comes out.
State Sweetheart, Dawn Human, signs a special poster to be sent
with Georgia DeMolay's contribution to the Red Cross to help the victims.
Justin's slogan, "Building Upon A Foundation" took on a special
significance in light of the horrific collapse of the World Trade Center towers.
The terrible tragedy had shaken America to its very foundation, but those at the
reception were of like mind with all Americans everywhere that we will rebuild
upon the rock solid foundation of freedom.
Justin's efforts to contribute to the relief of the victims was
well appreciated by all. The tragedy was frequently discussed at each table and
in conversations between concerned citizens. The unified spirit so evident
throughout America was much in evidence here. One of the seven cardinal virtues
of a DeMolay is patriotism, and the true spirit of America was felt by all.
