Sweetheart Sock Hop 2007Photo Album Credits On June 2, the sweethearts from Georgia DeMolay and the State Sweetheart, Miss Jessica Nobles, held a dance to raise funds for the Jenny Lind Pettys Scholarship Fund.
The event started at 5:00 pm with a movie.
Sweetheart Coordinator Mom May, and Jessica explain to the crowd of over 50 what the money for the fund will be used for.
Georgia DeMolay is blessed to have an active Rainbow organization that supports our events and brings a certain flare to our events!
The State Officers and Sweethearts from around the state pose for a quick picture standing side by side.
Georgia DeMolay breaks out the old songs every once in a while. This song however, needs no introduction.
Even the Moms find ways to entertain themselves during the dances.
As an incentive to the guys to raise money Dad Nobles made a bet with the sweethearts. He said he would dress up and let them put make up on him if Georgia DeMolay could raise over a thousand dollars. Everyone was a winner by the end of the night!
Dad Nobles even allowed himself to have some fun with the attire. It is important to note that Miss Jessica Nobles, along with the other sweethearts, helped raise over $1,200 for the scholarship fund. That is enough for three DeMolays to continue their education with help from the State Association. Congratulations to State Sweetheart Miss Jessica Nobles and the chapter sweethearts for their hard work and great success!
