It's all about how if everyone in the state would bring in just ONE new DeMolay that would result in 100% growth in the state. With this idea, active DeMolays should try to bring at least one guy to all state events to show them our Order in hopes that they will want to join. The power of just bring in that one guy could one day build a whole chapter and lead that chapter as its Master Counselor. That ONE guy could excel in everything we teach as DeMolays. Just bring in that one friend who inspires you to want to be a better DeMolay. The one who is going to be committed to the chapter. The one who is going to be committed to ideals of DeMolay. Just Bring One. This year Georgia DeMolay is going to have 25 Majorities for the 2010-2011 year. This means if every current member just brought in one, we can replace our losses by roughly 900%. Imagine showing up to Conclave and walking into Opening Session with 500 DeMolays. As you enter, you feeling the auditorium's excitement and energy. And all that's required to accomplish this is for each member to Just Bring One. It can all start with just bringing one guy to Chapter event such as a fun night or a Chapter's regular meeting and inviting them to have dinner and meet the other members of the chapter. This gives prospective members the chance to see and understand how a meeting operates, the standard of dress, and having decorum while in the lodge room as opposed to outside of the lodge room. A fun and easy way to attract new members is having a prospect party on your off meeting nights. There are many things you can do such as having a movie night, bowling, or laser tag. The possibilities are endless. Make a big deal of it and try to get everyone in your chapter to bring a friend or neighbor to the prospect party who they think would benefit from being in DeMolay. Other options afforded to you are our state events. Use them to your advantage. Show prospects the fun side of DeMolay. Show them it's not just all business, but an opportunity to meet some very nice girls and hang out with many of your Brothers from around the state at many of our events such as Conclave, Holiday Formal, and Spring Jam. As always, the best opportunity to impress our potential new members is with our famous DeMolay Dances. It's a great way to break loose and enjoy ourselves. There are many different opportunities for a young man to express himself from learning about teamwork, camaraderie, sportsmanship, civic service, event planning, time management, public speaking, etiquette, scholarships and a whole lot more. I have reminded you of the benefits that we all derive from being DeMolays. Now let's just share that with Just Bring One. Not only will your Chapter thrive from Just Bring One but your community, state, and nation will all thrive from Just Bring One. Ongoing Membership ProgramsConclave Registration Fees IncentiveWhen a DeMolay is the first line signer on three petitions or when a female supporter of DeMolay "side-line" signs three petitions for individuals who join DeMolay, the DeMolay or female supporter receives 1/2 off Conclave Registration Fees. When a DeMolay is the first line signer on five petitions or when a female supporter of DeMolay "side-line" signs five petitions for individuals who join DeMolay, the DeMolay or female supporter may attend Conclave at no charge. This program runs from Conclave to Conclave and members must be initiated within that time period to count in this incentive program. 
Blue Honor KeyWhen a DeMolay is the first line signer on ten petitions for individuals who join DeMolay, the DeMolay receives the Blue Honor Key. For each additional ten members brought in, a star is added to the Blue Honor Key. Pink Honor KeyWhen a female supporter of DeMolay "side-line" signs five petitions for individuals who join DeMolay, she receives the Pink Honor Key. Founder's Membership AwardWhen a DeMolay is the first line signer on five petitions for individuals who join DeMolay, the DeMolay receives the Founder's Membership Award, an attractive medallion featuring the founder of DeMolay, Frank S. Land. Membership Merit BarsWhen a DeMolay is the first line signer on three petitions for individuals who join DeMolay, the DeMolay receives a white merit bar. For each additional three members brought in, the next color of merit bar is earned. #1 PinWhen a DeMolay is a first-line signer on his first petition and the person petitioning joins DeMolay, the DeMolay who signed the petition receives the #1 Pin. |
